The Performance Engine Tech website is all about understanding the High Performance Engine as a system, and aquiring the skills of accountability to a very high level of attention to detail.
The site is here to provide quality information for aspiring engine builders of all skill levels. I feel qualified to write these articles, because I have been at every possible level of capability. I’ve done everything from engine swaps in an apartment complex parking lot in the 70’s as a teenager, to building competetive engines for a multi-car team in the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona just a few years ago. Currently, I design racing engine components for a well known performance manufacturer.
It’s easy for me to remember how much I thought I knew, and the mistakes that I made on my path to understanding what makes one engine better than another. I’ll be happy to share what I know and how I learned it with you, so that you can minimize your learning curve and potential for costly mistakes.
I don’t have any secrets, and I don’t claim to know everything. What I can’t share involves proprietary intelectual property from companies I’ve worked for. Beyond that, I’m here to help. If you have a question, go to the “Contact Me” page, and send an e-mail. I answer all e-mails personally, and to the best of my ability. If I don’t know the answer, I’ll tell you – then I’ll help steer you towards an expert who does.
